If any of the 10,000 visitors we get to our website each month read this blog the one consistency you should probably find is a searing honesty about how we run our business, what we feel about the way our industry is heading and our thoughts and opinions on each of our roles in getting there. This is as much a strategic decision as much as simply not being able to help ourselves; speaking my mind in particular is something that has won me praise and criticism in almost equal regard but I have certainly derived more benefit from the the praise and even learned from the criticism so I don’t expect to change anytime soon!

Without sounding like too much of a cliche we don’t like to print things unnecessarily and sending Christmas Cards is surely one of them. According to Wikipedia over 1.9 billion (count em) sent in the US in 2005 alone.

Never one to be known to shirk a challenge ever since Robert completed his maiden Skydive last year I have been itching to do one myself. The ideal opportunity presented itself at the weekend when twelve of us went to the North London Parachute Centre to jump out of a plane from 12,000 feet.

I’ve spent the last few months learning how to use After Effects by Adobe. It’s a remarkable product and is responsible for a lot of the content that goes into our presentations that people so often comment about. As anyone reading this blog will know we like to do things a little different at the green house. As a business we alway’s strive to push the boundaries of what our ‘industry norms’ are (if anyone does know can they tell us please?). The waste industry is not particularly known for its creatvity or innovation and that is what makes the green house stand out.
