One of the questions we get asked a lot in interviews and by clients is

I just finished an interview with a magazine who are writing a piece on whether or not landfill mining is set to become a reality in the UK, the same way it has in America over the last couple of years.

I have been giving a lot of thought recently to how our business model at IWMS can be applied to the domestic market, that is, the waste you produce at home. We have seen a lot of action recently by councils in an attempt to secure the compliance of the residents in their catchment area as well as push up the levels of recycling. The latter, of course, in a bid to hit their landfill targets and avoid hefty penalty fines.

Well, that was a fun few weeks. As part of our big IT upgrade recently moving to new, bigger servers and adding on a host of new technological gizmos we somehow managed to erase our entire blog!
