Leading independent coffee retailer Caffè Nero have 420 stores with a presence in almost every UK postcode. With the need to have full control over waste costs and recycling, Caffè Nero appointed the green house for waste and recycling service management across their estate in 2006.

Caffè Nero have seen signi?cant changes to the way waste is managed and reported since partnering with the green house. Everything is now viewed as a resource before being deemed a waste. With a diverse and complex portfolio of properties, service success is of critical importance coupled with the need to maximise recycling. Having grown signi?cantly since appointing the green house Caffè Nero now achieve a recycling rate of 75%, with land?ll diversion at an impressive 98%.

Caffè Nero continue to generate cost savings by avoiding land?ll tax increases as they grow, whilst having the assurance that everything relating to waste management is compliant and ef?cient.

“Before we used the green house we had over 200 invoices deal with every month, now we have one. We also had 38 contractors to deal with across our stores and again now we have one. Having been with the green house since 2006, waste and recycling is one area of our business we know is being looked after as we continue to grow”
